Job Overview:

Our client is looking for an Appointment Setter with experience in the insurance industry to serve as the first voice potential clients hear when expressing interest in life insurance, retirement planning, or financial protection services. In this role, you will engage warm leads, present the value of scheduling a consultation, handle objections professionally, and secure confirmed appointments in the advisors' calendars. You will work from provided scripts while adapting to each conversation, ensuring every prospect feels heard and understands the next step.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST; Part-time, 20 work hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to warm leads interested in life insurance, retirement planning, annuities, or disability insurance.
  • Follow provided scripts while adapting to individual prospect needs and questions.
  • Handle common objections using prepared responses and book qualified appointments.
  • Schedule meetings directly into the team's calendar system.
  • Log all call activity and outcomes in the company CRM.
  • Ask discovery questions to understand whether prospects are concerned about retirement savings, life insurance coverage, or disability protection.
  • Maintain a professional and confident tone that reflects the company's brand.
  • Meet weekly appointment-setting targets as defined by leadership.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in cold calling or appointment setting.
  • Experience in the life insurance or financial services industry.
  • Excellent English communication skills with clear and confident speaking ability.
  • Comfortable following scripts while holding natural conversations.
  • Ability to handle objections and think on your feet during calls.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems for logging calls and tracking activity.
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for calls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with annuities, retirement planning, or disability insurance products.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Previous experience working with financial advisors or insurance agents.
