Role: Jr. Software Developer
Work Arrangement: Work From Home
Location: Colombia
Schedule: Morning Shift

Job Description:

• Design, maintain, develop, implement, and test software applications to support internal and external business requirements.
• Troubleshoot current automation systems and software, addressing bug fixes and driving improvements.
• Provide updates and documentation, including release notes, scopes of work, status reports, and bug reports.
• Collaborate with the team on projects, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
• Facilitate requirements elicitation, design, and architecture for new and existing software development projects.
• Ensure adherence to documentation standards for all coding and project work.
• Assist in driving continuous improvements within the software development life cycle.
• Work in partnership with other departments and leaders to define specific objectives and ensure effective communication for successful project execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in software development and/or software development projects.
• Proficiency in development languages:
• Primary: JavaScript
• Secondary: Node-Red, C# (Acumatica, PT/CP)
• Database experience: MongoDB, SQL Server (if relational DB is needed).
• Server: Express.
• Frontend: Vue.js.
• Server runtime: Node.js (MEVN stack).
• Server environment: Windows (10/2019).
• CSS Framework: Bootstrap.
• CSS Preprocessor: SCSS.
• Testing tools: Mocha/Chai, Cypress.
• Linting: ESLint.
• Experience with multiple testing strategies, including Unit, Integration, and Regression testing.
• Preferred experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proven ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively within deadlines.
• Knowledge of operating system concepts (Windows, Linux).
• Solid understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
