Description

MEDVA is a leading virtual assistant company in the healthcare industry, and we are currently seeking a Bilingual Medical Admin. As a Bilingual Medical Admin at MEDVA, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of clinics.

Your main responsibilities will include managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, assisting with patient registration and insurance verification, translating and interpreting between English and Spanish, handling medical records management, coordinating patient referrals and follow-ups, and providing support in patient education and communication.

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in any healthcare related courses such as Nursing, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, etc. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent customer service and communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are also important for this role.

Please note that this position is designated for an Independent Contractor, which means that you will not be eligible for benefits, including health insurance, from the client. Contractors should also consider the tax implications and their responsibility to file taxes independently with the Internal Revenue Service.

Requirements

  • Graduate of any healthcare related courses (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, etc.)
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
  • Experience with US insurance verification and claims processing
  • Proficient in using medical software, such as EMR and EHR
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terminology and procedures
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Provide your own computer equipment to work at home / Windows computer ONLY, NO Mac computers.
