Bilingual Sales Development Representative (SDR) — Remote (Colombia)

Job type: Full-time, permanent (término indefinido) · Location: 100% remote, must reside in Colombia · Pay: COP 2,000,000/month base + uncapped commission (realistic Month-2 total: COP 4,000,000+)

Overview

ScienceBank, an international member-led academic publishing society, is hiring its first SDR in Colombia. You will generate and qualify leads and book meetings with potential customers worldwide across our full product range: individual memberships, institutional group packages, Global Summit sponsorships, and editorial services. Commission is paid per qualified meeting held — it does not depend on sales closing.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect researchers, universities, research offices, and corporate sponsors via email, LinkedIn, and phone (LATAM, North America, Europe, Asia).
  • Qualify buyers against the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for each product line.
  • Schedule meetings for the commercial team and confirm attendance.
  • Log all activity in the CRM and report weekly on pipeline metrics.

Compensation structure

  • Base salary: COP 2,000,000/month (above the 2026 legal minimum) plus statutory benefits.
  • Commission per qualified meeting held: COP 100,000 — individual membership.
  • Commission per qualified meeting held: COP 250,000 — institutional/group membership.
  • Commission per qualified meeting held: COP 400,000 — Summit sponsorship.
  • Monthly bonus: +COP 300,000 after 12 qualified meetings; +COP 700,000 after 20.
  • Earnings are uncapped and never contingent on closed sales. Example: 14 meetings held in one month = COP 2,000,000 commission = 2x base salary by Month 2.

Requirements

  • Minimum two languages: fluent Spanish AND professional working English (B2+/C1) — assessed at application.
  • Additional languages (Portuguese, French, Mandarin, German) are a strong plus.
  • 1+ year in sales development, telesales, bilingual BPO/call center, or international customer service preferred — full paid training provided.
  • Reliable home internet and availability to work with international time zones.
  • Strong written communication and self-management in a fully remote team.
